Our support team
Built in the saddle — the work behind the runs.
Competition days are the part everybody sees. This is the part that makes them: pattern work and slow work in our arena in Norco, California — barrels, poles, and goat tying, session after session, a lot of them under the lights after dark. Lately that work includes bringing along Classy, Sami's new horse, who is in training for breakaway roping — and none of it happens without the people standing behind Sami every step of the way — her trainer, and the vet who keeps these horses sound and healthy enough to do the work.

Our trainer
Thank you, Stephanie Langdon.
Every rider needs somebody in their corner who sees what they can become before they can see it themselves. For Sami, that person is her trainer, Stephanie Langdon — and this page is hers.
Stephanie, thank you. Thank you for the hours nobody counts: the early mornings and the late nights under the arena lights, the patience to run a drill one more time, the honesty to say what needs fixing and the belief that carries Sami through the runs that don't go to plan. Thank you for the work you've put into Classy this season — bringing a young horse along the right way, step by step — and for everything you've poured into Sami and these horses, in the arena and out of it.
You are so much more than a trainer to Sami. You are a role model — proof of what hard work, horsemanship, and heart look like up close — and you have become family to all of us. The bond between a rider and a great trainer is something rare, and we hope this one lasts forever.
When Sami writes her thank-yous, yours is the name at the top of the list — on every post, every run, every season. This page is just the permanent version.
Our vet
Thank you, RWC Veterinary Services.
Fast horses start with healthy horses. RWC Veterinary Services looks after every horse at Legacy Ridge Ranch — the routine care that keeps them feeling their best, and the not-so-routine days when something just isn't right.
Thank you for knowing these horses the way you do: who is due for what, what that off step means, when to treat and when to simply watch. Thank you for the honest answers, the careful hands, and the way you care for Skippy, Tecova, Classy, and every horse in this barn like they were your own.
Every run Sami makes rides on sound, healthy horses — and that starts with you. We are grateful you are in our corner.

This support is the quiet half of Sami's story. The loud half lives on her page — the runs, the road, and the people who back her.
