Legacy Ridge Ranch sits in Norco, California — HorseTown USA, where the horses outnumber the traffic lights.
Legacy Ridge Ranch began with something simple: a daughter's love for horses and her family's desire to give her a place where that love could grow.
We wanted to create a place where our daughter could ride peacefully, spend time with her horses, and continue developing her horsemanship. As her interests grew, so did the ranch. Having our own space gave her the opportunity not only to ride and care for her horses, but also to have livestock available so she could practice and develop the skills needed for the rodeo events she wanted to pursue.
What began as a place for one young horsewoman to learn, practice, and chase her dreams soon became an important part of our entire family's life.
Life at Legacy Ridge Ranch has taught us that horses offer much more than competition or recreation. Caring for them requires patience, responsibility, consistency, trust, and respect. The ranch became a place to get away from the noise of everyday life — a place to work hard, slow down, spend time together, and simply enjoy being around the horses.
As the ranch grew, so did our vision for what it could become.
We began to realize that the peaceful environment we had created for our daughter could also provide something meaningful to others. That realization eventually inspired the creation of Legacy Ridge Ranch Foundation, with an initial focus on giving back to veterans through nonclinical equine and ranch experiences.
The Foundation allows us to share what our family has experienced firsthand: the connection that can develop between people and horses, the confidence that comes from learning new skills, and the sense of accomplishment that can come from working alongside an animal that requires your patience, attention, and trust.
Legacy Ridge Ranch may have started because of our daughter's love for horses, but today we have the opportunity to let that love create a legacy that reaches far beyond our own family.

The barn here is a working one: a covered stall row keeps the horses shaded and comfortable, the lighted arena and round pen make evening pattern work possible, and the covered wash rack handles cooldowns and care after every ride. Everything is set up for one thing — a young rider who can get in the saddle every day.
How we run it
Built In The Saddle isn't a slogan. It's the schedule.
You don't get good at this sport from the sidelines. Sami is in the arena every day she can be — pattern work, goat tying practice, conditioning — and the ranch is organized to make that possible. Family first, horses first, everything else after.
