Sami and Ilya on barn paint day at Legacy Ridge Ranch
  • Feeding twice a day — alfalfa provided by the ranch
  • Stalls cleaned once a day
  • Shavings provided — bedding upkeep is on the boarder
  • Automatic waterers in every stall
  • Lighted round pen and lighted arena
  • Covered wash rack and two tack sheds

Bring your own feed if your horse needs something different — it just has to fit in our hay room. Same with bedding: we provide shavings, but if your horse needs something else, that's on you to supply. Grain feeding and medications aren't handled by ranch staff; that's on the owner, though you're welcome to arrange your own help for an additional fee. We don't do turnout in-house, but we can connect you with local folks we work with for an additional fee. Farrier service available for an additional fee.

Horse and rider under the arena lights

A camera for your horse's stall, with AI monitoring. Atlas Alert (atlasalert.ai (opens in new tab)) is a third-party monitoring system built for horses: a 4K camera with night vision that mounts in the stall and connects over Wi-Fi, paired with the vendor's monitoring software. What the system is designed to watch for is described in Atlas Alert's own documentation.

According to Atlas Alert, the system learns each horse's individual patterns — water intake, hay and grain consumption, manure, rest, and movement — and flags meaningful changes from those patterns. Per the vendor's documentation, the system is designed to:

  • Behavior-change alerts — flag changes in behavior patterns, including signs the vendor associates with colic or distress
  • Cast & escape alerts — notify you if a horse may be cast against a wall or out of its stall
  • Feed & water tracking — log drinking patterns, hay activity, and missed meals
  • Stall-entry & foaling alerts — notify you when someone enters the stall during hours you choose, or when a mare shows signs the vendor associates with foaling
  • Live view — check the stall from your phone, plus a daily summary from the app

How alerts reach you depends on configuration. Atlas Alert can send push notifications through its app; phone calls or veterinarian contact depend on how the system is set up — ask us what's configured at the ranch before relying on any particular alert method.

$150 one-time, $40/month. The monthly covers the Atlas subscription and the internet connection the camera runs on. Camera sign-up is separate from the boarding waitlist — sign up below and we'll reach out to schedule your setup.

Atlas Alert is a third-party product. It can flag behaviors associated with discomfort or colic, but it doesn't diagnose conditions and can't catch everything — always check your horse and call your vet when something seems off. What it sees depends on camera placement, stall visibility, lighting, and a working Wi-Fi connection; obstructions, outages, or calibration limits can reduce coverage. On the ranch's $40/month plan, you get 24/7 access to your horse's camera from your phone — check in any time. Ranch staff don't monitor the cameras around the clock, so don't rely on us catching an alert the moment it fires.
